Friday Music

It's Friday. I need music.

I'll start the day with some Mingus and Miles, then ease on into Rocket from the Crypt. After that? I think this poem says it best:

"Did you sneeze?"
"Yes, I snoze
And it blew off all my clothes
I was exposed
So I froze
And I lost all of my toes."

There was a documentary about John Denver on PBS last weekend that I stayed up to watch. It reminded me of the times I would see him in and around Aspen: I even got to sit on his Lear Jet once. At the time I really didn't appreciate his music. I know this isn't the kind of music people post up on here but I think it is good music for a beautiful WV Friday.

john mayer's continuum is pretty cool. he is quite a guitar player. although his choice in women is dubious. a nice underhint of bluesy clapton.

or I have never checked them out but plan on it.

BLIND FAITH: a Clapton and Winwood project.

all: Thanks for the suggestion. I'm afraid I didn't get past the leftovers from last week -- Winters, I'm loving jazz right now, and Zee, RFTC kicks ass and Scream, Dracula, Scream is a great album -- but I'm gonna have pick the rest of it up on Tuesday. Just getting killed at work today.

Dude, I am SO glad you checked out RFTC. I knew you'd dig it. I'll hold off an a new suggestion since you are buried right now.

RD- I like John Mayer's sound. His first album "No Room For Squares" was pretty good, and I like the follow up effort. My wife and her friends dig him.
Clash- I like the old school playlist!

I'm not saying that John Mayer is a talentless hack or anything, but that dude is repulsive to me. It actually gets in the way of me wanting to listen to his music.

getto: I would agree his first effort was the best. I was just impressed at what an underrated guitarist he has become.

DM: I cannot stand WATCHING him LIVE.
It absolutely drives me up the wall with the faces he makes while playing. He only gets studio album love from me.

Friday at last.

Actually, it's Saturday here already but the GREAT thing is that there is no work on Monday.

Enjoy the music.

Glad you're enjoying the jazz, Sleek.

Have a good weekend mate.

Josh: I love Pink Floyd, as well as Roger Waters on his own. I have In the Flesh on my iPod, though I haven't seen the DVD. I'd love to.

Missy: Excellent to see you again. I've been on vacation from the blogosphere because of real-world demands, but I'll get caught up on your blog this evening.

Winters: It truly is infectious, mate. Loving it.
