Friday Music

It's Friday. I need music.

But I'm leaving mid-day for a weekend in Maryland, where I'll be watching Team USA defend their title at the annual Motocross of Nations event. It's the first time the MXoN has been held in the U.S. since 1987. Should be fun.

So it's gonna be more like Friday A.M. Music.

Go ahead; make my day.

rob: Wow, I didn't know that one, but there's a very cool video of them doing it on YouTube. I like it, and I hope you don't mind me saying that it sounds a little like early -- gasp -- Bee Gees in places. I don't think that has to mean bad things, though.

anon: Now that New Orleans cat is cool. And he named one of his albums zigaboo.com, which means he has marketing prowess as well. I could only find a shitty Disco Biscuits recording on YouTube, and I couldn't really tell what it sounds like. I'll dig a bit more when I've got some time. I've heard of them often but I've never really listened to them.

~d: The Def Con One track is very cool, but I love that Del song. The first time I heard it I thought it could be interestingly blended with A Tribe Called Quest's "Bonita Applebum" -- they have a similar cadence or something. I used to have a Basement Jaxx album -- I'll have to check them out again, because this is a good one. And yes, this is exactly what I'm looking for, thanks for playing.

Just returned, checking in, all looks well, I have no music cause its to late. However Toilets observation reminds me of a certain off road magazine that did a photo shoot in the spirit of the 1971 Sports Illustrated cover shot of Steve McQueen...A couple of years ago we had a party at the Indy show and passed around a copy of the photo with the original mag on the back of the photo,(save fading) had a bunch of six day heros sign, slipped it in a frame it and auctioned it at the breakfast of champions the next day...it brought over $100 cant remember. You can still find the magazine on ebay but it is going up in value so buy now...If you want to frame it, copy the original and frame it and keep the original in acid free/UV free enviroment and show it to your buds on speciall occasions. The article is interesrting, the history etc...I am home now I go bed...peace trails JW

munger: Sorry, just got around to checking out that Iggy song via a fan vid on YouTube. Great song!

~d: I dig the Fratellis! I'll check out Hot Chip asap, I've never heard of them.

josh: It's a party I wish I would have attended. I have a V1#1 issue of Dirt Bike in mint condition signed by Super Hunky himself. That's pretty cool too.
