It's Friday. I need music.
It's been one crazy week, folks. No matter what your political persuasion or who you were supporting to be the next president of the United States, one thing is for absolute certain: this isn't the same US of A that it used to be.
So, while it might seem a bit cliche right now, I also think it's appropriate -- this week's theme is change. (One thing hasn't changed, though -- link it up!)

Some great music from several generations.
Sleek:
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through
Those lyrics have always meant something to me, even as a kid. I now use them to temper my judgement with my own kids. Some full-circle stuff, huh?
read me & rob: Dylan was first thought when I saw Sleek's topic. (Nice Byrds tune too.)
tuth+gnail: I've been obsessed with Billy Bragg the last few weeks after "Between the Wars" was suggested. Thank you.
Hey Sleek, Long time no see.
Anyway, sorry to hijack your blog, but I wanted to let you know about a new message board thingy that you and maybe your readers would be interested in. It is called Straight Outta Appalachia, and it covers damn near everything. I am not kidding. There are almost 100 forums covering everything from politics to sports to TV to Music to Food and (my favorite) Beer.
It is just getting up and running, but I would love to have some fellow Morgantownies on board (ha ha, get it, on BOARD, it is a message BOARD). I know that at least one of your readers is already a registered member. So come on over and check it out.
As the name implies, it is intended for folks who live or have connections to Appalachia, but anyone is welcome
Straight Outta Appalacia
