In this edition of Name That 'Do, we're tackling a theme of royal proportions. Every 'do above belongs to a person who is somehow closely associated with a royal-sounding name. They start very easy, but I think there are a couple of tough ones in there. Note the three final 'dos are all attached to H. I'm going to send a copy of Poor Bailey's awesome Pyrite and Gold double CD to the person who gets what I consider the toughest one.

is C actually a 'do? or an actual crown? A's gotta be Don King and B is Prince. hmmmmmmm...
fleming: As far as I'm concerned, C is the guy's 'do. You're right about A and B.
E and H are stumpers- the rest are easy.
do Eddie Murphy or Arsenio Hall in Coming to America count as royalty? either one of them could be F. C could be the guy from Kid 'N Play who always wore his hair out of the top of his hat. and I'm guessing Queen Latifah has gotta be in there somewhere. is she D?
geto boy: So let's have 'em.
fleming: Yeah, Latifah is D.
So far I got:
A Don King
B Prince
C The Burger King
D Queen Latifah
E Elvis
F Fresh Prince AKA Will Smith
G Coretta Scott King
H King Crimson??????
I will study and sleep on it and then study the correct response's...This approach I think will help me be spot on each doo. My approach is let everyone else do the thinkin' while I ponder and weigh my navel lint, log the weights in my journal, along with my shirts cotton polyester %, origin of the shirt, age, type of fabric softener, my diet, low fat, high fat? Science aint easy otherwise I would have identified all the doo's toot sweet...(french spelling?)I must admit I am not good at the doo identification so I must resort to the ole navel lint distraction. It works most of the time unless you tell everyone on the freaking comment window what you are doing.DOH! Kind Regards JWW
geto boy: So far only A, B, D & F are right.
josh: Strong game plan.
Is "E" Freddy Mercury?
geto boy: No sir.
Jeesh, man! You are playing hardball on this one. "H" kept me up all night. So when the boss complains about the quality of my workmanship I'll have to blame it on you.
P.S. Nice how you went from a happy Monday post to a Tuesday post about death!
How about posting bald heads next time, now that one I think I good get a grip on...
For some reason H makes me think of the Rat Pack. Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin.
Certainly you wouldn't go all the way back and pull out pictures of Duke Ellington and Count Basie...
geto boy: I'll post some clues tonight, more than likely.
And, yeah, I'm a moody bastard.
josh: Idaknow, man ... I'm thinking Name That 'Do may have run its course. We may be dealing with the last installment here. Great freaking idea, though.
edward: I would, but I didn't. Think group....
Could H be The Kingsmen?
edward: Well played, pal -- you got one of the tough ones.
Ok this is my final guess.
A- Don King
B- Prince
C- Burger King
D- Queen Latifah
E- Stephen King
F- Fresh Prince but also looks like it could be Freddie King
G- Queen Latifah ( twice cause you're a tricky bastard.
H- The Kingsmen
Evening, Sleekpelt.
Great game. But too hard for me. I'm just goin' to have a beer and let it all wash over me. Some of the players here are damn good.
Cheers.
correct so far: A, B, D, F
I'm sorry to say that I was wrong when I said you got H correct. You were damn close, but off. Here, I'll give it away: it's a Trio. ;)
winters: Hello, mate. Perhaps I'll have a beer as well.
Okay, now for some clues. Whoever gets E gets a copy of the Poor Bailey album.
C: He dances on diamonds.
E: He's been in three movies throughout the years, but they were all the same.
G: Jaws was never his scene and he doesn't like Star Wars.
H: Like I said, they're a Trio.
H queen started as a trio...
Is "E" Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings?
I'm tired of this game, mainly cause I'm not very good at it.
Can we play Jumble next?
Josh sure know's alot about Queen.
"He is a champion...."
Mom
geto boy: Nope.
mom: I'm tired of this game too. In fact, here are the answers: C, E, G, H
And Name That 'Do is officially retired. Does anybody want a Poor Bailey CD? It's really good.
