Reversing the Numbness

One

You know how much I've been working lately? So much that I haven't really not been working since we got back from Vegas. I've basically been working myself to sleep. My career is always pretty gnarly, but I'm also up to my knicks in a freelance project -- I'm writing a children's book and consulting on five others (it's a six-book series). My book is due Monday. I shouldn't even be making this post.

I've been so busy that I missed my birthday. Yep, I started Reversing the Numbness a year ago yesterday with this little post. Things haven't turned out like I thought they would, but that's okay. I'm glad to stay in touch with some of my best friends through this blog, and I've also met some very cool people. It's like my own smoky little bar.

I will definitely get back to posting more regularly, and reading my favorite blogs more regularly. I can't wait until I see some daylight! Thanks to everybody who's a part of RtN. I'm glad you're here.

You're writing a children's book!? That's one of my fantasies!

Awesomeness. Good luck with the children's book. Does it have pictures in it? Who's the publisher (or aren't we allowed to know that)? I know what you mean: my life is pretty involved at the moment, too. I like the bar image: I'm giving out Villigers and buying everyone a round of Rob Roys!

I read your stories you told your children. I wondered then if you where going to put it down on paper or screen. It reminded me of MT telling his children every night about Mugwumps (sp)
Best of luck with your book.

I wish you the best, Sleek. It should be remarkable like everything else you touch.

I also look forward to the finished song someday.

Happy Birthday! Wow. Can't believe it's been a year. The kids and I look forward to seeing you more too. Especially the little guy. I told Sleek this, but our son asked me the other day if there is a bed at Daddy's office.

I would love to write a childrens book based on some of my experiences with my own kids. I have wanted to do it for a couple of years now. Maybe one of these days.
Happy Birthday, dude! Glad I got to see you last weekend.

I've been putting my insomnia to good use and working on my own book, its very child like but hardly a children's book.
Good luck with the book and happy B day, remember the classic, Everybody Poops.

Dude...get some sleep and take a good long break.

Put the "gnarly" on the shelf this weekend and try to do some good old fashion time wasting.

Thanks, everybody. I'll talk more about this book/project when the right time comes.

Me writing a children's book would be like George W Bush writing a dictionary. I love to read them, though! Happy blirthday, my friend.
