1. I'm exceedingly pleased to show you the cover of our next issue of Racer X. Our cover story is by Craig Schulz -- son of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz and longtime Racer X reader -- and through him we obtained the rights to run the gang on our cover and in our cover story. It's by far the most unique, unexpected thing we've ever done on page 1, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it's received by our readers.
2. It appears I have a children's book out. I remember writing it (and getting paid for it), but I've never seen the cover, I've never seen the book itself ... but it's apparently for sale already. Interesting. Perhaps I'll receive a copy of it one day? I wish I could have had one of my guys design the cover.
3. I was quoted in the last issue of Rolling Stone, in a story about my friend Robbie Maddison. Of course it was in the issue with the Jonas Brothers on the cover. The previous issue featured Barrack Obama and the new issue has Robert Downey Jr. on the cover, and I had to make the the Jonas Brothers issue. Still, it was kinda cool.
Enough about me. What's up with you?

Cool.
Robert Downey Jr. is one of my heroes, along with Christian Slater. Don't know why....
m@: I like both too, but especially Christian Slater. He was sort of the epitome of cool when we were kids, I think.
Damn, that book is pricey for 32 pages. Do you see some of that money in the form of Royalties?
Quoted in Rolling Stone, that freaking rocks. I remember when The Recipe got one of their gigs listed in RS. That was pretty freaking cool.
One of my best friends is a huge Peanuts fan. Is there anyway I can get some sort of print of that cover from you. If not, Ill just buy the magazine and get it signed by someone like, say, ummm, I don't know maybe the web master for the Sister publication or maybe the EIC or someone.
Did I read that right? You were quoted in Rolling Stone? Wow! :)
Also, I have a major crush on Downey Jr so if I see him in newstands I'll definitely notice.
you should be proud of yourself brother. I know how hard you work and it is good to see cool things happening. THAT is some good business!
$: The book is library-bound, and that makes it pricier. It was written for older kids who read on a third- or fourth-grade level and, as far as I understood, will be sold to libraries only. Some of the sites I'm seeing it on make me think anyone can buy it, but I don't know for sure.
I will have cover posters soon. It looks like they're not going to last long, so I will save one for you.
devil mood: Exactly -- a Robert Downey Jr. cover is great. The Jonas Brothers issue, though, was probably bought mostly by 12-year-olds.
rd: Thanks!
Yes I agree this is some good business going on over in good ole WV. Land of the sleek, will soon be adorning license plates throughout the state, I suspect.
Very cool on all counts, however I did ride trials this evening and did not break anything (bike or body) and I also killed some poison ivy last week. Sorry to one up ya but its hard to compete with a poison ivy expert. I had three variety's in my yard and they have all but disappeared and I did not even have to use napalm.
Kudos, to the windfall, all of which you made happen, now that is good business.
They say big things happen in threes...
Seriously, all of those things are super, super-cool. Congrats on the book. And RS Quote. And the uber-cool issue of RX.
Dude, that's amazing! Love the Peanuts cover for the magazine - it looks really cool and unique. Incidentally, clicking on your name on that page you linked to brings up an alternate edition that's only $13.95. Would that be Australian dollars? Will your book be sold in the States? Rolling Stone, eh? We're all envious, regardless of who made the cover. Land of the Sleek, indeed.
love the new cover... but then im not a MX person...
and PUBLISHED WORK... thats were its at baby! good job, but i agree... too bad you couldnt have gotten one of your guys to do the cover... *d
