Do any of you use Stumble Upon? If so, feel free to add me as a friend on there -- my username is SleekPelt.
It's a pretty cool thing, really, and I've seen a bunch of cool sites as a result of signing up for it. One of them is this one, which links to 100 free, downloadable paper-craft projects. This might sound really dorky, but as soon as I saw this, I knew I had to do some of these bad boys. I started with these four, which were very easy.
The one I'm working on now is a bit more complicated, but so far, so good. If I stick with this longer than, say, I stuck with making beer, maybe I'll even work my way up to this one. I mean, is it just me, or is that really freaking cool?

If you build my mansion model, please send me a pic!
Thanks for the mention.
"Confederacy of Dunces" rocks!
Loved that book.
I love your new hobby, Sleek. I think our house may soon be filled with paper sculptures!
I love "stumble upon" too. Very cool site.
Sleek,
Those are a great start. You will be an origami specialist in no time.
Cut with a capital Q. I'd make such a mess of the haunted mansion, though. Do you need glue, or is it held together with folded tabs?
Those are very clever!
I had a friend in college who really got into building those Lego pirate ships. Not only were those suckers expensive, the fleet took up a lot of room.
I think you're going to need a bigger mansion for all the little boxy minions you're going to create.
these are friggin adorable! i'm going to make them with my son.
I have an idea that I can make somesort of art out of a pile of dirty laundry.
Oh they're so cute! hehehe
They remind me of this:

(I know you like links ;)
ray: Welcome! You've made quite an impressive model. If I ever decide to try to tackle it, I'll be sure to show you the results.
m@: Man, me too.
dm: Think how much it'll save us on actual sculptures.
clash: Thanks! I doubt I'll mess with origami, but I may stick with the paper models for a little while.
teoh: So far it's been all glue, though I'm not sure about Ray's mansion.
helen: I think if I make many more I'll just give them away. The first four were so easy -- the one I'm doing now is taking me a few nights, and they'll accumulate much more slowly at this pace.
vesper de vil: It's a great project to do with the wee one.
josh: It's a medium I'm very familiar with.
devil mood: I love this band and this song, and now I love this video, too. Thanks!
goddamnit anyway.
erin: They anger you?
super cute cutouts! *d
day: Thanks! Sadly, I believe I've already grown tired of my paper-model hobby. But these shall live on!
