Friday Music

It's Friday. I need music.

Okay, it's Thursday, but tomorrow will be chaotic, so I figured I'd start this week's music post on Thursday.

Hoop's got me checking out some spunk by a band called Spill Canvas. It's very Hoopish, and it's got me in the mood for upbeat music. I'm gonna hit up some Hendrix next. If you can send me links along with your suggestions, like good ol' Anon did last week, then I'll be like, "Word."

Oh, this is pretty interesting, if you haven't heard it yet:

  11. That Cornell song really, really sucks. What happened to him? It's like he's been nuetuered since the SG days.

Anyway, for some Canadian music check out this oldie--

  24. I forgot about this until the other day. I don’t like these so and so vs. so and so mixes normally, but this one works, kind of.

And your Chris Cornell reference reminded me of that great cover of Black Hole Sun off the Longe-a-Palooza CD.

For an 80s kickback, I think this song was written about the Reagan - Thatcher administrations. It makes as much sense now.

Then spin some Kirsty Maccoll - you must have some?

Finally the lunatics in the GO! Team have a new single out…

  25. Raul:
Thats where I got this show I think.
I grabbed some shows from there and although it was a little clunky getting them, the ones I got were great, thanks for the lead.
I may stay in a thin vein but there sure are a bunch of ways to play the same songs, maybe I am a broken record.
I rate a show by how hard I rock in my chair sitting in an air port.

  26. totally with you on that one Mom or else I wouldn't see the same bands up to 10 times a year. I love jam rock. There was a dead show on there that had Duane and Gregg Allman with the Dead for a 33 minute Lovelight. It was a little different than their studio album ;)
