My daughter has a piano recital this weekend at the WVU Creative Arts Center, and I can't wait. She loves playing so much that watching her does my heart good, and to see her in a more formal setting like this is exciting to me (even though she doesn't seem to care too much one way or the other).
So this week's theme is performing -- as always, interpret it however you want. (If you're new here, just post links to songs that you like that somehow fit the category.)
Here's one to get it going....
Well, the obvious choice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCyKcwvV5gE (sorry to hit Billy Joel again...)

Talent Show!
That is so exciting! Good luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteHere is my contribution this week.
I'm loving today's suggestions so far.
ReplyDeleteGeto Boy: You can never have too much Billy Joel. And Neil? Bustin' out the big guns.
Rob: You ready to throw up in your mouth a little? You know who "Talent Show" reminds me of big-time? Bright Eyes. Your favorite.
Zee: Great Bowie cover. It's like an all-star Friday Music so far!
Queen!
ReplyDeleteThe new Pointer Sisters video!?!
This one always brings a tear to my eye...
That makes me smile. Got to get satellite radio. Must stop listening to same radio stations.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Bright Eyes...
ReplyDeleteTom Waits—Innocent When You Dream
ReplyDeleteBlind Melon—No Rain Possibly one of my favourite videos. I think we've all felt like that kid at some point in our lives.
Bugs Bunny—Rhapsody Rabbit
TV On The Radio | The Golden Age - super funky. They were very loud when they played in Denver.
ReplyDeleteThis one is for before the show --

and this one is for after the show --

ReplyDeleteI vividly remember Shannon Hoon's untimely and tragic death. Sad.
That video reminds me of one of favorite movies, Little Miss Sunshine. And yes, we have all been her at one time.
I’m a little late to the party this week.
ReplyDeleteThis tune has been on my mind and represents “performing” but in a casual setting.
